I broke the leading lines rule by moving too close to my cat, so the wooden boards didn't guide the viewer's eye to the subject. The composition feels tighter, but the lines are less noticeable. This makes the cat not stand out as much as it could.

I fixed the rule by moving farther back so the deck boards create leading lines that direct the attention to my cat Shadow. This makes the composition feel stronger and more balanced. This makes the cat the main focus because the lines naturally lead your attention to it.

I took this photo from an angle where my cat was looking away from the camera, which broke the rule of perspective. The photo feels less engaging because you can't connect with the subject. It also doesn't show as much detail in my cat's face.

I fixed this rule by moving to a different angle and getting my cat's attention. Once she looked at my camera, I took the picture. This made a stronger composition and made the photo more interesting. The new perspective shows more of my cat's face and eyes. This helps make that connection with the viewers.

This picture was taken at a really high angle directly above my cat. This can make the photo less interesting and breaks the rule. The angle makes my cat not stand out as much. This makes it harder for viewers to focus on the cat. It's still a cute picture, but it has more potential.

I fixed this issue by moving lower and changing my camera angle so it's more aligned with my cat's body. This lets you see my cat better and what's going on around. The new angle puts more attention on the subject and creates a better photo.
All photos are of my own cats. I do have one more cat, but she is a Diva and doesn't like her picture taken, apparently. Overall, we covered Leading Lines, Perspective, and High Angles.
